He then attended Hyles Anderson College from 1975-1976. In 1977, he joined the US Army and was sent to West Germany. While in West Germany Pastor Bill was licensed by First Baptist Church Heilbronn, West Germany and planted his first church (where he served for 19 months). The first church was a refugee camp church. In May of 1980 Pastor Bill became the founding pastor of Bavaria Bible Baptist Church Nuremberg, Germany. He returned to the United States due to military orders, and served as a youth pastor. He then had a second tour to West Germany. He founded Heritage Baptist Church in Bamberg, West Germany, and then helped to plant the Harvest Baptist Church in Furth, West Germany. Pastor Bill was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1989. After this, he pastored Calvary Baptist Church in Midway, Georgia. Pastor Bill then relocated to Gun Barrel City, Texas, and served as the bus director at in Athens, Texas for 2 years. He then founded the Cedar Creek Baptist Church of Gun Barrel City Texas. Pastor Bill then moved and served at Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne, Texas under Pastor Charles Payne where he attended Faith Bible Institute and graduated with an advanced degree in Biblical studies. Upon completion, he attended Norris Baptist Bible Seminary in Fort Worth Texas. He was called to pastor Fort Victory Baptist and began serving in that position on Easter 2015 with just three remaining members. There have been over many professions of faith in Christ as savior, many have followed the Lord in baptism, and many property improvements have been made here since then.
